My Name is John Piskura and I am proud to be your Mayor. My family has lived in our city for over 50 years, and I have a genuine interest in the prosperity, unity, and efficiency of Sheffield Lake.

Sheffield Lake is a city turning the corner toward revitalization. We have a productive, professional, cooperative relationship between council and the administration. We are looking to a brighter future than anyone could have imagined just a few years ago.

This administration has gained crucial support from County, State, and Federal entities which has helped our lakefront redevelopment plans become a reality, has reconstructed Ferndale, and has resurfaced Lake Road. Our city has also benefited significantly from the honor I have been given in serving on the board of directors for The Ohio Municipal League on a state level, as well as NOACA, Team Lorain County , and the Multicultural Business Center on a regional and local level.

The most important concerns facing our community,

and the ones I am focusing on are:

Preserving and increasing our property values
Advancing economic development
Capitalizing on and promoting our lakefront
Adhering to stricter code enforcement
Encouraging active participation in local, state, and federal lawmaking organizations
Fostering pride in our community and continuing our quest for revival
