City of Sheffield Lake seeks comments on Lake Road Transportation for Livable Communities Project

City of Sheffield Lake is proposing to construct an 8’ wide concrete sidewalk along the north side of U.S. 6 (Lake Road) from Lake Breeze Road to the Windjammer Apartments, and along the south side of U.S. 6 (Lake Road) from Lake Breeze Road to approximately 130’ east of Brookside Trail. This project is part of a 28-mile lakefront The multimodal network. Construction also includes installation of two Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacons (RRFBs) at the existing Lake Road pedestrian crossings at Lake Breeze Road and the Domonkas Library. The project will be constructed entirely within the public right-of-way and on property owned by the City.

Construction is scheduled to occur between April and June of 2020. Traffic on U.S. 6 (Lake Road) will be maintained throughout construction with the use of flaggers.
