The Joyce E. Hanks Community Center, 4575 Lake Road, is named after a former city council member, and has become a hub of activity. One might find classes including yoga, cooking, or CPR. Boy and Girl Scouts meet at the center along with 12 Step programs, knitting and painting groups and an active senior citizen group.
Behind the center is a landscaped gazebo, seating, grill, picnic tables and playground equipment so residents can enjoy the awesome beauty of Lake Erie. Sunset are particularly stunning.
Rental Information
The center features three interior rooms. Each has large windows looking out onto the lake. One room has complete kitchen facilities and another has a kitchenette. All are available for rent, but please understand dates fill very quickly and some dates are booked as far as a year out. See general instructions for rental of the facility.
